Does he genuinely just want to be friends or does he still have feelings or does he feel sorry for me... or?

id have to say that he is nowhere close to being over you. it sounds like you guys had a lot going and right now hes just trying to make you jealous so you will admit your true feelings to him. i think you should have a real "heart to heart" with him. If you still care about him and want to date him then tell him. explain to him what happened and why you broke it off. and if he is dating her its only to make you jealous and/or help himself get over you. but like i said just talk to him and let him understand.
