I don't understand how Reid's comments about Obama?

were anything BUT racially charged? Why in the world in Obama DEFENDING him? Furthermore, what's with all of the racism against "light skinned" blacks now? I keep hearing interviews with I guess what could be considered "dark skinned" blacks saying that light skinned blacks are afforded more opportunities in life and career? Really?
