I thought I was attractive, but he doesn't think so, why?

Some people just don't find others attractive. It doesn't mean the person is ugly or unattractive themselves; it's just the other persons taste. It could be something else with your friend, but maybe you're just not his type, or he thinks you're cute but in a friend way, not a turn on way. There probably isn't anything wrong with your appearance.
