Black Moor Eye Damage?

I've noticed my Black Moor fish has lost all pigment in one of his eyes. You can see his veins. He has slowly lost pigment on his underbelly too. But my question is..he sticks his eye in the filter suction tube, it must feel good, could this have damaged the pigment or his eye. I cant imaging the suction being that strong.
